necessary to upgrade supply to 3/4 from 1/2?
WHile I have my cieling open, I am debating if I should bother to upgrade my hot/cold supply lines to 3/4 inch. Currently my service is 1/2 from the city, which is why my pressure is not great, but it will be upgraded soon. From where the service enters the house, it has already been upgraded to 3/4, but only until where it splits to go to each end of the house. The length in question services main kitchen, bsmt kitchen, bsmt bathroom, and outdoor hoses. I don't have access right to each fixture, but would be replacing about 15 feet of pipe up to where it splits to go to bsmt kitchen sink, and then main kitchen/bsmt bathroom and outdoor hoses. After this split it would have to remain 1/2 to all but bsmt kitchen. Will I see any improvement upgrading this section, or is it not worth it since I cannot get right to each fixture? Thx for suggestions.
