Default circut problem

Have a light that when the switch is off it still lights, but very dim. When you turn the switch on the light is normal.
What is the problem. It seems like there is half current in the line.

Sounds like you are taking current through the light bulb to feed something else. This is not noticed when the light is turned on but there seems to be a feed back through that bulb to something else with the switch off.

See if there is two switches controlling that certain light like a three way switch system.

Drop the light fixture and see how many wires are connected to the black wire of hte light fixture.

Also tell me if you have a 60 amp main service panel that has a fuse block with two 60 amp fuses marked main.

Let me know the above information and we will work from there.

Curious
