How old is the gas in it?
Drain the tank and the carb, replace with new. If its been a really long time, clean out the carb.

If still dont start, verify you have spark (pull the plug, plug it in and ground the threads to the engine and pull the crank (be careful or you will get a nice zap)

If Still dont start, clean out the carb and valves if you havent already.

If still dont start and youve tried all of the above,....repost

So you do have spark?
Do you have a fuel filter? (doubt it, but there may be a screen in the tank somewhere)

Check the air cleaner (or pull it off for testing purposes)

Make sure your throttle/choke linkage are moving freely and operating correctly.

Do you have a engine manual? If not, look on the net for your carb settings. Pull all the pin/needle valves out and cleam them out, then set everything to its factory settings.

There isnt too much left to check without tearing things apart

Pretty sure dont count on the filters. You need to check them.

I dont know if anyone else in here can help you with that engine, but I'd post the model number of it. You will need some settings out of a service manual to check/reset your carb. You may be able to call a dealer up and get the settings too.

You will see several flat head screws sticking out of the carb assembly. THose are your pin/needle valves. There is normally one that has what looks like a thumb knob on it, that one has a adjustement spec (1 1/4, 1 1/8 1 1/2 ect. turns.) There may be one that looks like a screw and is flush with your carb body. THat one you can pull out and clean off, stick back in.
