bathroom lighting

I'm wondering about the dedicated circuit for the bathroom. Can you have just the outlets on the dedicated circuit and tie the lights and fan in with a bedroom circuit thats on a ARC breaker?? I have five lights and a fan in the bathroom, worried about tripping the 20 amp breaker with a curling iron and blow dryer plugged in. The bedroom only has a cieling fan and outlets, also on a 20 amp breaker.
Also do you have to use a metal romex connector on recessed lighting or can a plastic one be used??

Bathroom outlets must be own there own 20 amp circuit. Exception: If your bath's 20amp circuit serves only one bath, then the lighting can be served by the bath's 20 amp circuit.

In your case. Yes you can have the bedroom's AFCI circuit serve your baths lighting circuit.


A plastic gray connector can be used in a recessed can fixture.
