Default Raise Door Height on Pre-fab Shed

I have a pre-fab shed with double doors on the front.
The doors are only 5'8" high and I am 6'4".
I would like to raise the height of the door and still keep the shed structurally sound.
Would it be acceptable to raise the center of the header and re-frame the doorway?
I've attached pics and it looks like the door header is not supporting the roof. Thus I should be able to cut the header and frame a new doorway, make and attach new doors, fix the siding as needed and be done.
Would you agree with that assessment based on the pics I provided?
    Thanks for reading.

Here is the picture right side up. It looks like it should be fine to raise to the bottom of the 2x8. I would not be cutting into the 2x8 without better look at the complete wall setup.
