GE Dryer - Need help with a part

The dryer was making a terrible noise and clothes were getting caught in the top rim. I followed your tips on taking the dryer apart and this is what appears to be wrong with it.



The white plastic piece that the drum slides on. Can't seem to pinpoint this dryer part on the internet. Can't find any pictures of it. Can't believe no else has had a problem with this piece getting worn. The bottom white plastic piece with the lint filter appears to be fine.



If you could help me by telling me what part this is(all I've been able to find is something called a drum slide but there is no picture so I'm not sure if this is it.)



And maybe recommend where I could get one.

Model number is DPXR483 EAOWW.

Thanks for the corrections and info Jeff. I ordered the white plastic piece from a company in Oklahoma. I saw your message too late. I didn't realize that the pads came separate. So now I have the white plastic piece and no slides. Duh

The ones you show in the picture are blue. I have white ones. The price you have for them seems rather high a 8.70 ea? For plastic slides? Why are they so high? My dryer takes 4 of them. that's 4 x 8.70

There not plastic. These ones here are a bit cheaper.

Why are they so high?

GE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Pound for pound, GE seems to be the most expensive appliance parts company around

Some of use have joked that GE stands for Generally Expensive

I have the same exact problem. I can not afford to go out and buy a new dryer if you get this can you email me at takeastand72@hotmail.com and tell me the place in Oklahoma where you got the part and how you fixed your dryer? Thanks a million! The GE site says nothing about this issue and I am sure you and I are not the only ones this has happen to. Appreciate your help.
