    Question Old Hussmann Grinder

Not sure if this is the right place or not for this post, but I wanted to see what vintage and more importantly what type of motor is on this old Hussmann grinder. It runs great, but it hasn't been used in 20yrs...and want to know more about it. Type of motor, maintainence, etc. Thanks in advance. I have a follow up pic in my next post....close up with the back cover off.
    Any info would be great!!!

For the motor end, if there are oiler ports it probably needs some oil (do not use 3 in 1 or WD 40). If the brushes are worn they should be replaced, other then that there is nothing to do or worry about. Make sure the cord isnt damaged or dry rotted.

As for the business end, just hope the last person to use it cleaned it 20 years ago!

We'll need some too in short order. The nice thing is they are universal. You can pick these up almost anywhere and they'll fit. Of course, take the old one with you, but I bet you'll find them easier than you think.
