Thread: drain pipe going through floor

Default drain pipe going through floor

When you have a drain pipe going through the subfloor, is there some building code rule about the diameter of the hole in the subfloor, how much bigger it should be than the diameter of the drain pipe?
This is a toilet drain pipe.
Even if it's not in the building code, perhaps good construction involves a certain spacing between the subfloor and the drain pipe?
    thanks

Yeah. There are few guidelines to be followed. Also one need to take care of the leakages and other safety measures for drain pipe..
