    Default Ge Electric Stove Repair

Need some advice here. Not thinking, I plugged an industrial fan into our oven for a brief moment before something blew. The oven outlet and both lights now don't work. The odd thing here is that all of the fuses are fine and in tact. I have checked them all. If anyone has any advice, it would be much appreciated. Thank you.

The model of this stove is the GE Rapid Clean III. It was here when we moved in but it seems really old.

    Hi,

    GE Rapid Clean III
    Just a name and not a model#.
    http://www.applianceaid.com/model.html Some model# helps.

What lights? Oven lights, surface lights?

House fuse and/or any fuses in the range? How where they tested?
Elements ( top and oven ) still work ok?

    Default Model Number

The model number of this stove is J35KKW-4. I only checked the fuses by taking each one out and making sure the contact inside was not broken. The element on top all work and the oven works. The flourescent light that lights up the element area, the light inside the oven and the oven outlet all don't work.

Sometimes the solder joint underneath lets go and cannot tell by looking them....check with ohm meter for continuity or try 2 new 15 amp fuses.

    Sounds like an open fuse.
