One of the bigger names in residential structured wiring components is Leviton. Their website at http://www.leviton.com/ is a good starting place. There's a fairly pricy ($39.99) book available from Broadband Utopia called the "Residential Structured Wiring Design Manual" that covers about everything you'll ever need.
