I have 2 depressions in the ashphalt driveway where the previous owners used to park their car. I never park where they used to so if I can fix this problem, I won't have this issue again. The depressions are quite deep, and about 2 meters long. Whenever it rains, I get 2 long puddles about 4-6 cms deep. I have thought about trying to heat up the ashphalt with a torch (it worked for the edging!) and then pound a drainage line to the edge of my driveway with a sledge hammer. On that side, the neighbour's grass starts. But I would prefer if I could get rid of the depressions altogether without having to re-tar the driveway completely.
Also, I don't want it to be unsightly. I have the impression that if I go and buy some driveway patch tar, that area will be super-black, and the rest of the driveway will be grey. Also, I don't want an obvious edge to the patch the way it looks whenever road crews fill in potholes.
Any magic way to do this?
Thanks,
Bruce.
