I am going to add an outdoor faucets to my garage. I have a 1/2" galvanized pipe feeding the existing faucet. Do I have to upgrade to 3/4" pipe to feed the 2 faucets? I am thinking of replacing the galvanized pipe with copper at the same time.

Your galvanized pipe is probably partially closed up so I would replace it. The size depends on the distance and your water pressure. Do you think you will use both at the same time?

I wasn't going to use the galvanized but with the price of copper am not sure I want to run 3/4" half the way. I soubt we will ever use both at the same time. I just didn't want to install 1/2 all the way when the code required 3/4" .

If you are under the International code (IRC) I am short on details here. If your water pressure is50-60 psi and it is less than 200' from the service entrance or source to the furthest sill **** then 3/4'' is ok and branch to each sill**** with 1/2". 40-49 pressure range would be good up to 150' to meet the IRC. If you know what code you are under and water pressure and distance I can better answer your question. You could use Pex or any typ of plastic if you want to save money. Of course pl;astic is way up also due to fuel prices.
