We currently have two phone lines in the house, the second is for DSL. The DSL line is only connected to 2 phone jacks in the house. As of Friday we will have DSL on the original phone line and disconnect the second line. Question is, how do I connect the two DSL phone jacks to the original incoming phone line? The box inside the house (next to the circuit breaker panel) has two pairs of terminals, one of which has the majority of wires connected. Is it as simple as taking the wires from the other pair and moving them to the pair with all the other wires connected?

Thanks in advance for any advice. :)

It should be that simple, if you have a phone line tester (available at such places as radio shack for approx. $ 10 or less) and it when tested at the phone jacks will tell you if the polarity is correct, if not reverse the 2 wires.

One thing whcih you likely are aready aware, all your phones MUST have a dsl filter on them, this gets rid of DSL noise from your phones, and prevents interference from phones to DSL. The dsl modem of course has a clean feed with no filter.

dkerr,

Thanks! It worked as advertised - moved the two wires and all phones are now on the same line (with DSL filters installed.)

Cheers! :)
