Leaky stones

Does anyone know of any products out there that will seal an old stone foundation? I would love to refinish my basement but I have a few leaks that would prevent me from doing so. Any ideas?

I have plenty of ideas but I think the only one that would work would be to dig down around the exterior of the foundation and seal the stone from the outside. This is an expensive option but sealing from the inside seldom if ever works long term.
