new garage with breezeway

My foundation has been poured and the contractor told me i should put some black waterproofing compound on the part of the breezeway. What is the name of this and where do i get it?

There is a lot of info not included concerning the entire foundation, footer design. You are only asking about water proofing a breezeway foundation. You are not telling us why the water proofing is being installed and whether a crawl or slab is your breezeway. Where the seasonal high water table is etc.

Water proofing material may be bought from your masonry supplier or building supplier or painting supplier. Many brands for many differing applications. Ask your supplier and they should be able to guide you to the type you will want and need.
