Kitchen Complete Except for Trim

I posted this in another catagory because didn't know this one was here until today:)
I remodled my Kitchen just this winter. Most of my help came from this forum.
I found a hugh wasp nest in the bulkhead. Fortunatly for me it was not active.

Anyway, here is my blog with picts and some text around the progress. The early picks are at the bottom.

Did everything myself and all turned out great except some of my drywall joints are not near as invisible as I'd like:( but my wife wouldn't let me spend anymore time on them:) So I try to hide em when company comes.hehe
Still have trim to do yet.

What is that big grey mass, a terminte or bee's nest?

Sorry for late reply. I haven't checkedthe forum in a while. As near as I could tell it was a Bees nest. It was all dried up. I think the previous owner must have had exterminator and they left it in the bulkhead. I resided one yr before I did the kitchen. Seeing it as I demoed the kitchen sure did scare me at first:)
