Weed Whacker is killing my back

I bought a curved shaft weed whacker at sears recently and it is killing my back. Previously I had a straight shaft. Could the bent shaft be causing me so muchmore pain? Any experiences with this?

I had the same problem, so I installed a strap, like a guitar strap on mine.
Seems to help.

Get your wife to do it! :D

You should be able to adjust the 'front' handle to balance the trimmer. It should help things out. Straps tend to help, but sometimes they can send vibrations back to you (wich may actually help your back)
