I am planning on building a new home using the ARX system which is styrofoam molds and concrete. The molds have strips incased in them to attach drywall on inside and siding on outside. Has anyone heard of any difficulties attaching drywall or siding to these strips. Also have you heard anything positive like they give a R-50 insulation value, or negative horror stories.

I have just used Insulated Concrete Forms for the first time on a small addition and they are the way to go. The wall is supper strong and wll insullated. It seamed expensive at first but was much faster with less labir.
I had not trouble securing furing strips to the plastic strips with sheet rock screws. I know I could have just glued or screwed the sheetrock to the strips however, old habits don't die.
Insualltion wise do the math. I had 2 inches on foam on both sides and six inches of concrete. Its a great insulator.
Good luck,

What brand of forms did you use. What was the total cost?

When installing an ICF there are some precautions that need to be taken with realtion to incompatible materials, bitumens and some adhesives can cause polystyrene insulation to disintegrate.
