Since you all helped me out so much and since I told you I would keep putting up dated pictures of my basement project on this forum, here they are. I finall got the electrical done and inspected. I also finished the insulation. Next I have drywall. Let me know what you think, and thanks again.
Hopefully this link will work.

Wow, making progress. Sounds like you survived the INSPECTOR. wow !
Looks great. Glad you are about there. By the way was the TV and couch part of the required tools to do the job? Ha Ha
Congrats

Nice. I really like how the AV rack came out. The built in glass door looks great and good idea on the rear access door. I hate climbing ontop of things with a flashlight and a mirror to hook up something.
Looks like you already broke the bar in..but you can still invite us all over to formally break thigns in. :D
Keep the pics up

I see where you get your name...why would you want gasket seals on the bottom wall plates in a basement.

Prevent moisture from wicking through the concrete and damaging the wood.
Taken from National Building Code of Canada (2005)
1)...wood framing members that are not pressure treated with a wood preservative and which are supported on concrete in contact with the ground or fill shall be separated from the concrete by not less than 0.05mm polyethylene film or Type S roll roofing.

Very nice work Mike
I am new to basement finishing. I have become a Jack of all trades in the last year. I have been at it for longer and mine doesn't look nearly as nice. Just a couple of rooms left and I should be finished. I live at Men*rds. Just curious about why you did the drop edge around your basement. Was this for depth? Or did you have a reason behind it? Also, what did you use to frame that out? Looks like 2x6. Could you have just used 2x4s?
