I am surprised they even told them to dismantle it. They should have told them to leave and stay away from the down line. Unless of course the power workers killed the line while it was being dismantled. I can see a case of " we were dismanlting it when he touched the wire".

I hate to see or hear of people getting killed, especially in the line of work, but sometimes the gene pool needs cleaned out. If he wouldnt listen to someone about that, who know's what else he has blown off. CHances are if he didnt get killed there, he could have done something this dangerous again, and could have injured or killed others.

I am assuming that this is a business they were working on being 25 feet up, and that close to power lines. (dont houses have to be so far away from high voltage lines) I dont think the downed line was right there either, just in the area and the workers noticed the roofers as they were walkin the lines.

I saw it on the news also...and what happened is...while the POCO was there fixing the downed line, they told the roofers they were too close to the power lines and to take down their scaffolding, which they did...and as soon as the POCO left, erected it again and as they were tearing off the roofing, a piece of alum. fascia blew over and touched the power line...the workers were on aluminum stages...the end!
