Anyone got any advice on winter work gloves? I generally have just used the brown knit "Jersey" gloves. I go through about a dozen pairs a winter myself. They don't keep my hands especially warm. I do a lot of outdoor tasks that require a certain amount of "feel", and I find myself taking the gloves on and off many times a day when working outside. If I try to hold a screw with gloves on, the gloves inevidedably get wound up in about every third screw I drive in, often creating a hole in the gloves. I was considering trying a pair of the "Mechanix" type gloves, that form fit like batter's gloves or golfing gloves, but I wasn't sure whether they'd be warm in the winter or not. At 25 bucks a pair, I thought I'd ask. Any other suggestions?

Mdshunk, I have used the Mechanix cold weather gloves and they work great. You have great use and feel of your hand and they keep them nice and warm.

Somebody on another site recommended the pair below. I just got back from the store and picked up a pair. Five bucks.

the latex coated gloves are a bit stiff for holding screws, small pcs. - aren't they? my soninlaw(bricklayer) uses them as they're more durable than the brown jerseys.
i saw some carharts or ? that resemble the mechanix and i don't think they were as expensive.

My experience with the rubber/Latex coated is that they are fine for about an hour. Then the rubber coated side starts getting wet from sweat on my hands and then my fingers start feeling cold. (my solution is to use multiple pairs and change them about every hour.)
