I have a Grizzly 14 inch bandsaw. I just changed the blade and read the instructions to adjust it. They state that after tracking the blade, while the guides are fully backed off, you should run the blade under power and back off the tension until the "blade flutters", then tension it up until it stops fluttering and add 1/4 turn to the wheel. I never did see the "flutter" but I got down to the 1/8 inch mark on a 3/8 inch blade. Maybe I don't know what I am looking for. It seems to cut OK, but any advice on blade tensioning would be helpful.

I would skip the "flutter" part...just track the blade & adjust the tension to the proper mark for the size blade you're using.
if you're not going to be using the saw for a couple days, it's a good idea to back the tension off.

Thanks for the reply, I'll do that. One feature on the Grizzly, that I like, is the lever that takes tension off the blade. It just takes a flip of the lever to get it back to full tension and you're ready to cut again.
