Deer season!!!

Wisconsin gun deer season opens next week. We've seen quite a few deer including 3 bucks (2 8 pointers and 6 pointer). Looking foward to it. Anyone had any luck yet this year?

I'm in WI, I ended up with a 8 pointer in the gun season and nothing with my bow. Wish I could have gotten one more. There always next season.

The sentence makes no sense to me. What does "animals of sort mean"? I thought perhaps you meant "animals for sport" or "animals of some sorts".

If you like deer in western washington, doe's aren't shootable except for a few areas with "excess numbers" and they issue special hunt permits. They can be short with arrows in the early season and in the muzzleloader areas though. In eastern washington, only deer with 3 or more antler points are huntable unless again you have a special tag to get rid of excess ones in specific areas.

Perhaps you like the Mt. St. Helens area where there are elk carcasses everywhere because there were too many animals to survive last winter, so many of them starved. Better to cull the herd before winter so the remaining have a chance instead of them all fighting over limited food.

Hell, we have deers walking (and running) down the roads around here. They are running out of living space (New Construction is to blame)!

Here you go fellahs. i know i have been away, but the projects slowed with the deer season starting in august. here is our year starting with bow season small bucks and does to the rifle big boys. we bow hunt for the meat and look for the bigger ones during gun season. oh and a little jack rabbit to boot. Sorry guys, no pheasant pics this year for some reason. didnt bring the camera along all the time.

That lucky young man is my son (14) his first year deer hunting and he bagged 2 with bow and 2 with Gun. oh yeah, and the raskly rabbit. His doe gun isnt pictured.
