This is going to be a series.....25 years ago, a friend who lives a 1/2 mile up the road from me lives in a mobile home & his wife wanted to build a house behind it.
first step was to lay out for excavating the foundation. he didn't want to cut down the huge catawba tree, so the foundation had to be moved back 20 - 30', which put it too close, IMO, to a spring & at the lowest point on the slope.
About 4' down, we hit a huge sandstone that covered the area of the front half of the foundation...My suggestion was to cut the tree down & move the house forward & it would sit on solid rock.
He rented a compressor & jackhammer and his son worked for 2 weeks till we got the foundation dug.
Footer is framed...cement trucks coming...my plan was to use the loader bucket to shuttle the concrete from the driveway down to the foundation.
He says No, the truck can back down there...I say No, grounds too soft.
Truck is stuck!
Much later...truck is empty...approx. 1 1/2 yds. short...driver was calling for another truck with 2 yards...
No, he says...I have a mixer & we'll mix it ourselves. I say...you're nuts!
It was getting dark when they were finishing the beam support pads.
His son said he was leaving home!

First looking at your location and reference points I think you are lost. Can't get there from here. You may think you are where you are but may all be an illusion.

The big bolder is allowed to be poured concrete using that rock as the footer foot print or even framed to if necessary when found to be above finish grade.

The next concern is did you get that footer below frost line in your area and past saturated earth, if not may have a sinking footer in the future.

The next would be concern of elevation of lowest finished floor. Is that going to be at least at or above the datum plain? {normal 100 year flood elevation}
May need a boat if not being that close to a stream. What about your septic system above datum plain so it will work properly?

The concrete could have been shuttled but for a bit more money you chould have brought in a pumper truck to reach out and pump the concrete to the footer. Me mixing that concrete by hand at end of day would require at least 3 weeks of to heal my aching bones!

I think the son may have the right Idea, EXIT STAGE LEFT !

Ha Ha. Having fun yet?:roll:
