79'evinrude 85hp loses power.

When I take off it does not have the power it use to have and i think the jets are plugged with bad gas from a tank I used once , Should I just take it in to get serviced for the jets or is it just as easy to do myself with a kit and taking the carbs off. Also there is a gas leak somewhere that i just cant locate but it is stored for winter now , any suggestions or is this the main power problem (engine has been completly rebuilt 2 yrs ago) thanks.

I would take it to a get service center call the mfg. or talk to folks you know and get a good repair center . You could have apower pack going bad whhich could burn a piston up or if running too rich or lean burn it out
