Great site!
Had two major water leaks in 5 months. Flooded my upstairs.
First leak happened when the adjustable plastic stem water valve inside the toilet pop off. First time I have installed an adjustable, and the last. It lasted about a year and I remember hand tighting it per specs. I don't know if the grooves or the rubber went bad, but it went into full extension and sprayed water on the ceiling of the tank cover, which in turn ran over the edge of the holding tank.
Second, a 1 year old poly flex hose from wall to toilet inlet broke off at the toilet inlet. Found out this new model of hose used a plastic insert instead of the brass hollow insert at the cap, and for some reason cracked.
It's fun watching water drip from the ceilings. All this plastic crap is driving me nuts. My two Hoover's have broken plastic too. Barely hit the wall. and bang, off comes a hunk of plastic.
Is this going to be a trend? More plastic, and more plastic?
