I am planning on installing an outdoor outlet and tapping into that for a post light. I already checked the load (thanks for the help!), and now have additional questions.

1. I am planning on mounting an outlet onto the exterior stucco. It there a minimum height from the ground requirement?

2. I understand I need conduit for the portion that will be above ground (outlet ot below ground). How far underground does it need to go? 24"?

Thanks in advance!

If UF cable and 120 volt and 20 amp rated and GFI protected at the source of the cable then 12" minimum depth.

If UF cable and 120 volt and 20 amp rated and Not GFI protected till you get to the receptacle then 24" minimum depth.

EMT is not allowed in contact with earth.

UF cable if coming up surface and subject to physical damage then it must be protected by a conduit. EMT is fine above earth.

Good Luck
