Hello again--

I just got my System Technician Electrical (Class D) licence! Just some food for thought, how would I wire a relay on a fire alarm system to shutdown a fan when the system is activated. The building I am working in is a house converted into an office building, 2nd story added & small HVAC system put it. I am working with a Notifier AFP-300 & Notifier FRM-1 relay modules. How do I wire the 120VAC fan feed through the relay? Any info would be appreciated!

(No, I didn't do the fan wiring; I am just wiring it through the relay)

Thanks Again!

Generally you don't break the power circuit on the fan for fan shutdown. You use the fire alarm relay to breaker the control circuit, which in turn will open the output power contacter in the starter.
Remember that fan shutdown is required in the supply fan 2k cfm and higher, and both supply and return 15k cfm.
