View Full Version : Repairing foundation cracks

My house is 40 years old and I recently had the original back patio and steps removed. Once both were torn out, there were two foundation cracks behind the old steps. In addition, there was a piece of rebar that came out with the old steps that left a rebar sized hole about 1/2 inch deep in the foundation.

The house does not and has not ever had a leaking problem, so I'm just wanting to do some preventative maintenance. What product do you recommend for fixing these? The two cracks I spoke of are no more than 1/8 inch wide and do not go all the way through.

Thanks!

There is a few concret patching material available designed to bond to existing damaged concrete. I would call your local concrete product supplier for a list of repair patching concrete compound to spread over that minor cracks.

Sorry for the delay, been FISHING WAY UP NORTH, don't ya know !!

Hope this helps
