I'm nearing the end of my project, with the major remaining tasks being the tiling of the floor and installing new vanity cabinets. I have been debating which to do first - install the floor tile or install the cabinets? I was thinking the tiling would be easier if done first as I wouldn't have to make as many cuts. Just install the tile so that tile will extend under the cabinets, then set the cabinets down on top of the tile, using a board or maybe scrap tile to level the cabinets in the back? Does this sound reasonable, or should the cabinets be installed first, then tile around them making the necessary cuts? Which option would a "pro" use, and what is the logic behind it? Thanks.

Every pro will do every possible different option depending on that certain pro. Ask two dozen self proclaimed pro and you will get three dozen answers to your question.
My thinking on this would be if you install your tile before the cabinets then a decade later you plan to replace wore out cabinets with new cabinets a bit smaller than the old cabinets. At least then you will still have the tile. Problem with this plan is a decade later the tile under those old cabinets you are installing today will have clean untouched tile where the tile not under the cabinet will be a different color. Then you may have to sand down to matching color of tile. This plan is an easier tile installation with less cutting of tile.
Installing cabinets first then tile will cause more cutting and harder installation but less tile to buy.
Your bathroom your choice. To say one is right over the other would be ludicrous. Each situation and skill level of installer would affect what would be best.
My thoughts for what they are worth
