I am putting on drip edge on my new roof work. These come in 10' lenghts and I was wondering how to join them together.
Does one;
1. just overlap that the ends?
2. butt the ends together, and cover the joint with a short piece of drip edge?
3. does it make any difference?
Thanks
ps. spent the day cutting off raftertails and putting new ones on in mid 90 degree heat. I can't think straight.

Roof edging normally just butts end to end. No further concerns are required.
I am just finishing up stripping two layers of asphalt shingles and one layer of wood shank, then laying 3/8" decking over the existing lathes spaced about 2" apart, black paper, roof edge, shingles, and coping. To rest up I went on the shade side of one of my rentals and jacked up the house, installed a footing, rebuilt the foundation that had been damaged by a tree growing too big, sorry bout that tree, shall it rest in piece after it cooked my venison stew last winter, ha ha. Then of coarse I had to strip the old clabbard siding, insulate install pink board and spend about 1,200 dollars for 1000 lineal feet of new clabbard siding. Boy that hurt to drive away with enough room to carry a washer and dryer pair in the truck with that siding, believe it is made of gold !!! Worse yet that was not even cedar siding. Coices were birch, pine or cedar. Pine made me want to cry, oxygen is available for those that buy the ceder clabbard siding. That stuff is made of gold !!!
Enjoy your finished product that is what you have to look forward to for all the lost weekends getting your new sun tan or was that sun burn?
Good Luck and enjoy your sun stroke, Ha Ha !
Next thing your wife will say is WOW what a tan !!
