AC thermostat

I wired my entire house including the furnace. I now am trying to hook up the ac and for some reason cant get it to run. I have power to the ac unit. I believe it is the thermostat wires to the ac, but for some reason I cant solve the issue. any help

You need a type thermostat that gives you a choice from heat to a/c using a switch. This type thermostat uses many more wires than the single heating thermostat. Read the installation instruction and wiring schematics.
