My maytag washer will not fill at all. The screens and hoses are clean. The water inlet valve has been tested and is okay, however there is no power getting to it. The machine will wash spin and drain as long as it is filled manually.

Any suggestions?

Hi,

No mention of a model#, approx age...but....some Maytag washers have a fuse built into the lid switch assy. If one of the lid switches sticks or fails the fuse will blow and stop the fills from working. The lid switch ( power off first ) is in the consol area.

>The model # is Maytag lat9804aae approx 1994 or so. the washer will spin wash and drain. the lid switch seems to work because it does activate the cycles. Do you still think it could be the fuse? I did test the water inlet valve and it is good. Why no power to it tho? The fuse? Thanks Jeff JOhn Samoyedny

Hi,

Yes the lid switch fuse could still be bad. Push buttons on the consol, make sure one is selected because if the buttons are flush the filling will stop. Bad water temp switch is possibl, timer contact....both cna be ohmed as per the wirign diagram that comes with the washer.

**the washer will spin wash and drain**

The washer agitates/washes with no water inside?? If yes, the water level control could be stuck in the full position.
