Sirs,
I live in Akron, OH :( Oh well, You gotta live somewhere :P
I had pvc drains roughed in in my basement when the house was built and decided to put a kitchenette with sink where the 2" shower drain is.
Our washer/dryer is on the 1st floor and I want to move it into the basement.
I can run the washer drain line through an adjoining wall and tee it into the sink drain directly under the sink.
Is this up to code to share the 2" ips pipe for a sink and a washing machine?
If it is not a code issue, does it sound feasable?
Thanks

2" drain is allowed by the IRC to serve both the laundry tub and washer as a branch or stack drain.

You 2" drain should meet IRC rules for both your shower and kitchenette sink.

Hope this helps
