I am trying to replace the lid switch on my washer. I have everything disconnected except for the ground wire plug. There is a plastic piece on the top of washer and something underneath.

It has a plastic piece on each side which I tried to push in and release but I can't get the two pieces apart. I need to disconnect this first so I can remove the cabinet before repairing the lid switch. Could someone tell me how to do this?

Thank you.

Single Mom trying to do it all!!

Hello,

Kenmore is made by several different companies, each being different and having a few different styles. A model# may help narrow down what style you have.

Model# helps.

*Sounds* like a direct drive lid switch you are trying to replace.
If it is, this should help....

Access/cabinet helps.

Picture fun. The link above is still pics and text :)

Hope something in this jibber/jabber helps.
