I have a small pin hole leak on my shutoff valve near my water meter. It is where the copper is slodered to the brass shutoff valve. I s there any quick fix out there that I can use or should I take it apart?

If the valve is one the street side of that meter then call your water company. That valve is theirs to maintain.

If the leak is on your part it depends on where the leak is exactly. If the leak is on the pipe at connection to the valve then you will probably have to have the water shut off by the water company then cut the pipe off before the valve. Allow all water to clear the lines. If one drop of water is inside that pipe near that pipe it will turn to steam and you will work hard to sweat that joint. If it were me I would cut the pipe at the verticle approach then install new pipe to the valve and replace the valve. Usually that is easiest way to repair because of moisture will seek heat if water is inside the pipe during repair by sweating. The steam from the heat and the water will keep that joint from sealing when you try to solder.
