Can I run 4 conducter #16 ga. straned sound & security wire from telephone j-box to electronics room which is about 85 feet or should I run cat5e? Will be feeding 10 rooms out of electronics room.

Personally, I would run CAT5. This gives you four pairs. Not only multi-line use, but back ups in case a pair bites the dust.
