Any suggestions as to which brand of through the wall AC? It will be installed in a bedroom so noise is a factor. I need about 6,000 btu's.....Thanks

Brand is not a biggy as much as the ratings of that a/c unit. I am not one to endorse a certain brand, too much like picking a person to be your friend. Some turn out winners and some turn out bad news.

Pay attention in your research for voltage that you have available, ratings of low zone [noise rating], especially rating on efficiency marked on the tags.

Research those factors and you should be fine.

How did you come up with the BTU ratings of your future a/c unit. How big is the room, how well insulated, any outside doors, how many windows, what are the heating degree days or area you live. These are the factors you should consider in sizing your a/c unit.
