Hi !!!
I am rewireng my garage, and I have a switch box with three switches in it. I have one power line comming into the box. How do I wire the switches to get power to all of them from the one line comming in, or is this not the proper way of wiring a box with three switches.
1 switch is for lighting in the garage
1 switch is for lighting in the storage part of my garage
1 switch is for the outside light

If you have only one branch circuit in that three gang switch box with one constant power in only or constant one power in and one constant power out then you may use a wire nut and connect all white wires in that switch box together and shove in back of box. Then wire nut with a new wire nut all greens and bare wires adding one long green pigtailed wire all under that one wire nut. The long pigtailed wire is to connect to the one green screw of each switch device. Then connect the black constant power in and if present the black constant power out plus three black 8" long pigtailed wires all under one wire nut and shove into the back of the switch box.

Then connect one each of the 8" long black pigtailed wires to one of the two brass screws found on each switch.

Then connect the black wire going to each light fixture box to the remaining brass screw of each switch.

YOu should have lights

Good Luck
