Helping friend with manufactured home ( full basement) Waiting on an answer for previous discussion on meter pedestal. In meantime notice moisture forming heavily (dripping) where flooring insulated and sealed with ?pollyurethene. Have temp heat connected furnace, but no runs for basement. he plans to install space heater for basement area. Were wondering if since there,s a full 12 course basement and will be installing space heater. Would it be ok to remove the polly and insulation from underside of flooring, since most likely was installed had Manfc home been placed on a concrete slab with side curtains. Then at same time use this insulation to insulate at top of foundation (block) up in joist pockets. Certain that since no insulation up in joist pockets on outside walls and only plyscore to outside, this is whats causing the condensation? Curios what your feelings would be on this? Tanks

Suspect as you that moisture is being drawn from the basement walls and floor and earth into the basement due to the heat.

I too would remove the insulation and vapor barrier in the floor joists and use some insulation on the end plates to seal those and then install stud walls for wiring etc. allowing wiring and then install the fiberglass insulation in the stud walls and installing a vapor barrier sandwiched between the stud walls and the finished drywall.

If your walls are going to be unfinished in the basement then I would still remove the vapor barrier and insulation from the floor joists and install the insulation in the floor joist end plates.

Hope this helps
