We have a stainless steel dishwasher and it is coated with a white film. Most glassware washed in the dishwasher gets coated with a thick white film that is very tough to remove. When pitchers are used to boil water they become white in a few weeks. The town tested the water(its municipal water) and said the hardness it 175, but they are not sure what is causing the film. Other people on the block dont seem to have this problem, the house is 2 yrs old. Im scared to think what this is doing to the hot water heater. Any suggestions?
