You may have one or two problems.

One is heating. I leads me to believe you cold air ducts are causing a vacuum. Meaning your heat and cold air ducts are not ballanced. YOu have too little cold air duct capacity in some rooms yet too much cold air duct in other rooms causing the fan of the air handler to suck air out of a room that the heat ducts are unable to replace thus causing a vacuum.

Then I have a strong feeling that your plumbing has problems also. I can't see the small vacuum discribed in the above paragraph being strong enough to suck the traps dry in your drains.

This leads me to believe you either have a plugged vent or an inadequate venting of your drains in the area where your smell is appearing.

You need to look at both problems one at a time.

First thing to do is take a bucket of water after the drains have drained you lavatory ond tubs and showers have been done draining. Then slowly pour water into those drains in small amounts say a quart to a quart and a half of water poured slowly into the drains. This will fill any dry traps in your drains. Make sure you have all drain traps filled as discribed.

Then turn on your a/c unit. If you don't have the smell appear then your plumbing drains have a fault vent system for some reason that is sucking the drain traps dry. The drain traps are the seal between you sewer gas and you living area. This is where I believe your big problem lies

Let us know what you find.
