I have a recently renovated kitchen, and I've now decided to add a new countertop along one of the walls where there used to be a closet.
I don't really want to add two new circuits to supply the recepticles behind the new section because I've got two 20A circuits (GFCI recepticles) supplying the recepticles beside the sink. These circuits could easily service the new section.
The sub-panel that supplies the line is in the wall along the new countertop section, but it very unlikely that I have enough wire in either run to reach an outlet box at counter level.
I'm assuming my best option is to create a J-box beside my sub panel, run the lines into it and branch it from there to the new recepticle and back into the sub-panel. Running a new wire to the old recepticles is pretty much out of the question since it's in a finished wall with insulation.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
George
