i have a featherlite leaf blower that is 2 years old, was working fine,i think the last bit of fuel mix was light on oil and the blower ran for five minutes and stopped, i let it cool and restarted and it ran half throttle and hung up or seized up. i took out the spark plug and applied a penetrant and tapped the piston down until it was working freely. now it pulls fine, icheck the spark on the plog it has spark, also when i remove the spark plug there is a mist of fuel exiting the open plug hole. i was wondering if when it froze up or when i tapped the piston down if the timing (if any) got off Dont know if h=it has a key stock or what and also how do you remove the white colored plastic fin with the one nut in the blower tube cover at the bottom. thanks for any help sam

Rings most likely siezed in the piston. Probalby no compression left in the cylinder.

joed,
when i put my thumb over the sparkplug hole it tries toeither suck in in or push it off when i pull the cord rapidly i thinks it still has compression, i thought it may be out of time some way and dont know how to check that thanks sam

I'm not an engine expert but I do repair all my own machines. If you have spark and you have compression then it could be a fuel problem. If the plug looks wet it could be flooding. If it is starved for fuel someitmes you can get it to kick by putting about a teaspoon full direct into the plug hole, install plug and try it.
It could also be a bad plug that doesn't work when under compression. It could also some type of timing issue I suppose.
