I noticed that I cant reply to certain posts today. It says I do not have proper permissions. I noticed that there was a * next to the username in these posts. What is this?

Interesting.. They are gone.

They appeared in my "new posts" first time I checked today. There was alot more then typical new posts. THere were 5 in a row for computers. ALl from today, you replied to a few of them.

But there were 8-10 that had a * next to their names (including yours). I did click on yours and it said, user did nto exist.

I'm gonna look around again. I'll post links if i can find them.

It was the "computers" forum... in the archives, but somehow marked as 'today' for the date.

must be locked out posts due to being antique.

These are closed to further posts in the archives, I am in the process of copying over all of the threads from the old forum software being used for archives, so it can all be within the vbulletin enviroment, it says today because it was copied today, but if you look at the posts it will say the orginal posting date back in 2003 at the top of the message body. the archives are set for read only.
