Outlook Express Mail 6.0

When receiving e-mails I get "And not all of them"

"oe has removed the unsafe attachment"

How do I know what was unsafe about it, And how do I go about maybe fixing it so it is not unsafe?
What happens to these unsafe attachments?
Is there something in my settings that looks for unsafe attachments?

Thanks
Art.

In outlook look on tool bar click tools, then options, then security. It is your choice how risky of emails you want to receive. There there are about four levels of security. Internet is the wide open setting. You virus program should watch for your viruses yet there are no guarantee when dealing with attachments. Suggest you only open attachments when varified it came from your friend. If in question leave it unopened and email your friend to ensure it was not auto sent to you as a virus through their puter without their knowledge.

About the time we make ourselves safe some idiot comes up with a way around our safeguards. Never ending and irritating but a fact of life in the internet. Low lifes are going to work harder at hurting others then they will helping themselves. Criminals often work hard to be a criminal than if they actually had a job and lived like a normal person. Idiots are going to be idiots ! Just be careful and varify where the attachements are coming from and are valid before you open them. Most of the time if you don't open them until varified you are reasonably safe but again that is not always true either. Security on high and an idiot can infect you puter even without you knowing they were there. Sounds productive to me, huh ??

Hope this helps
