I have a Sump Pump that collects the water from the pipe around my foundation and shoots it out into a holding tank in my back yard for watering the yard, etc. Lately, the pump goes off about every 30 minutes or so, and fills the 100 gallon tank about every 6-8 hours. It hasn't rained in weeks. I can't figure out where all the water is comming from! There is a fire hydrent in my front yard. Could there be a problem with it? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I was thinking of doing the same thing a little while ago...
Could be underground water has redirected somehow. Any new homes in the area?

The water company can test the water and see if is treated water or not.

Yep, sure sounds suspicious for a broken underground municipal water line. The water department will come out and check er out for free. They have sonar type devices that will let you them (and you) know if a pipe is leaking underground within only about 5 minutes of troubleshooting. BMW might be on to something if they've done any blasting or other heavy earthwork in your immediate area. This can sometimes redirect an underground stream your way.
