Hey all,

we just bought a troy-built chainsaw I don't recall the name exactly but its was with an 18 inch chain and 42cc motor, I was wondering if anyone here had any experience on how reliable they were? We haven't opened it yet, lol but will tomorrow.

we got a craftsman 20 inch chainsaw last year and couldn't keep the thing running, won't buy another one.

Thought i would post something on this forums its so quiet in here

I didn't even know that Troy Built made a chain saw.

I live in the middle of about a zillion acres of forest. Around me there are two names, Stihl and Husquevarna.

:) thanks for the advice and will keep it in mind if this troybuilt fails to work right.

I didn't even know that Troy Built made a chain saw.
Neither did I,

Husquevarna... we didn't get that one because i can pronouce it

The one we got was only $169 so we don't expect it to take down a forest lol
Hey I found a link to the one we bought (http://www.troybilt.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product_10001_14102_10137_17687_-1)

well it works quite well
:) we ran that thing hard today sex_1 cut through logs till it ran out of gas, then refilled and went right back at it , its a sturdy little machine. it left a 8ft x 15 foot pile of limbs and a truck load of logs in in its wake  well worth the money

Husquevarna... we didn't get that one because i can't pronouce it  Huss-ka-var-na.

I have no reason to believe that the Troy Built one isn't a really nice machine. I just didn't know that they made them. All their other equipment is famously well made, and your saw should be too.
