I'm completely redoing a bath, and I have a new toilet in the box out in the garage. I opened it, but just to grab the instructions. I figured it'd say how far out from the wall that the toilet flange should be installed, but it doesn't. Is there a standard distance or do I have to actually assemble the toilet and go set it in place? I think it's about 14" or so, but I haven't put the top of the toilet together to actually measure. Thanks

Most common roughin is 12" finished wall to C/L of drain. But you can get 10 and 14".
If you got it at a home horror store it is most likely 12". But check the model number off the box and look up the manufacture on the web and verify it.
