Can 2 exhaust fans, one each in separate bathrooms (one is a full bath and one is a half bath) be run to the same duct that vents to the exterior, or will it end up blowing from one bath into the other. Or could something be set up with a "T" connection with something like a backflow prevention valve? Currently everything is opened up for a renovation project but creating a second exhaust vent to the exterior would require going into the garage truss space.
Thanx

After a little more research I think using the existing duct is a bad idea. The eixsting duct runs horizontally approx. 30 feet in an UNinsulated area, exiting through a sidewall. Instead I could run 2 new separate ducts into the garage attic and up vertically 6 foot +/- through the garage roof. I could build an insulated enclosure or insulate the ducts in the garage attic. One bathroom exhaust would have a horizontal run of about 4 feet and the half bath would have a horizontal run of about 12 feet. I saw a mention of vertical exhaust caps with dampers. Anyone have experience with vertical exhausting?
Thanx
